Financial journalism shaped by curiosity, clarity and experience.
I’m Daniel Liberto, a financial journalist and content specialist with over 15 years of experience writing and editing for some of the world’s most respected brands and media outlets.

Deep expertise
Specialising in finance, investing and professional services, with a strong understanding of complex topics and regulation.

Editorial standards
A background in journalism means I never compromise on accuracy, fact-checking or the quality of the written word.

Audience focus
I write and edit with the reader in mind—making complex information clear, relevant and engaging.
I started my career in London, working for several Financial Times Group publications before going freelance in 2016. While my roots are in UK financial journalism, I’ve written extensively for American audiences, so I’m just as comfortable with 401(k)s and IRAs as I am with ISAs and SIPPs.
How did I end up in this profession?
I always had a love for writing, a curious personality, a disdain
for jargon and a strong desire to find the truth and share it with people, so journalism felt a natural fit.
The finance side came by chance after I won a bursary from the Financial Times. However, looking back, perhaps it wasn’t such a coincidence after all. My mum taught me a lot about managing money when I was growing up, and watching her and others struggle to make ends meet gave me
an early appreciation of how important financial knowledge can be. I also don’t like keeping useful information to myself. Whenever I discover a great way to save or make money, I want to share it. I love the idea that something I’ve written might make someone’s life a little easier or help them make a better financial decision. That’s what keeps me motivated to
do my best — and, ultimately, what makes me enjoy my job.
